Many faculty and staff are frustrated and exhausted after years of navigating multiple, rapidly evolving crises. Left unaddressed, these feelings can contribute to low morale and burnout, making innovation and improvement much more difficult. Although quantitative data and logic help provide clarity, storytelling is a communication strategy that often inspires and motivates people.
This two-part online workshop will actively engage participants in developing the necessary skills to effectively energize various campus stakeholders through storytelling. Participants will learn to craft and tell memorable stories that not only inform others, but also resonate with them and extend clarity of vision. Facilitators and peers will provide feedback during the workshop.
By the workshop’s conclusion, participants will be able to create impactful stories that concisely and clearly answer today’s most pressing questions, such as where we are going and what it looks like to succeed.
