If you are committed to redesigning policies and practices and creating cultures and systems in which women can thrive, join a learning circle. Be an active part of a group striving to become better change agents who authentically value work-life balance and seek to mitigate inequities for women through regular dialogue with a trusted group of diverse leaders.
Despite gender parity in holding terminal degrees, research shows that women continue to be underrepresented and underpaid in higher education leadership, regularly encountering cultures and systems that perpetuate these inequities and create work environments that undervalue their talents and contributions. These experiences are particularly problematic at the intersection of gender, race, and age.
Learning circle members will identify, reimagine, and help each other advance policies and practices that address important issues including flexible working conditions, child and elder care gaps, pay equity, and ways to champion women’s success and well-being within the academy.
