Description

Objective:

The course objectives are to assure candidates understand the PADI Mermaid program structure, philosophy, requirements and procedures; prepare candidates to teach courses that are low-stress, performance-based, safety-oriented and learner-centered; refine candidates’ mermaid skills to a role-model level; and provide candidates with practical suggestions for organizing and marketing their courses.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Complete the Mermaid Instructor Course knowledge development segment and pass the PADI Mermaid Instructor Exam.
  • Complete the four required Mermaid Instructor Course confined water workshops: Workshop 1: Basic Water Skills; Workshop 2: Mermaid Skills; Workshop 3: Rescue and Assistance; Workshop 4: Teaching Presentation
