Description

Objective:

The course objective is to develop an understanding of the CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) manual, its symbols, sections and rules. Students will also be introduced to the HCPCS (Healthcare Common Procedure Coding Systems) system of coding.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Develop an understanding of the CPT manual
  • Code using all six sections of the CPT
  • Be introduced to HCPCS coding

  • CPT coding, evaluation and management, surgery, integumentary system, musculoskeletal system, respiratory system, cardiovascular system, digestive system, radiology, and pathology and laboratory
