Description

Objective:

To acquaint the student with the great political philosophers of history, with particular attention paid to the development of the student's critical analytical skills as well as the impact of each philosopher on modern politics. Additionally, to foster the student's understanding of such areas as justice, political organizations, citizenship, and individual liberties.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Identify the key elements in the thought of each great political philosopher throughout history
  • Will be able to understand the impact that each of these philosophers has had modern politics
  • Develop an understanding of such areas as individual liberties, citizenship, political organizations, and justice
