Description

Objective:

The course objectives are to familiarize Tec 40 instructor candidates with the PADI Tec Diver program structure, philosophy, requirements, and procedures; prepare Tec 40 instructor candidates to teach performance-based, safety-oriented, and learner-centered PADI Tec Diver courses; refine Tec 40 Instructor candidates’ applicable diver-level tec diving skills to a role-model level; coach the Tec 40 Instructor candidate to develop role-model tec diving skills and master supervision of tec diving students; provide Tec 40 Instructor candidates with practical suggestions for organizing, conducting, controlling and marketing PADI Tec Diver courses.

  • Meet all instructor course performance requirements and meet the exit experience requirements.
  • Demonstrate familiarity and competence in Tec 40 Diver knowledge and skills.
  • Present role-model knowledge development presentations from the Tec 40 Diver course.
  • Present practical application presentations from the Tec 40 Diver course.
  • Present role-model confined water skill teaching presentations from the Tec 40 Diver course.
  • Present role-model open water teaching presentations from the Tec 40 Diver course.
  • Perform the dive skills in the Tec 40 Instructor Skill Evaluation.
  • Assist with a complete Tec 40 or Tec Trimix 40 Diver course or act as a certified assistant during a simulated course.
