Description

Objective:

The course objective is to introduce the principles of anatomy and physiology, leading to an understanding of the respiratory and digestive systems. Inclusive is the study of normal and abnormal body processes and pathophysiology. Diagnostic studies are explored.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Define respiration volumes and capacities, related gas laws, respiratory disease states, and procedures related to respiratory illnesses
  • Identify the function of the digestive system, anatomy, disease states and treatment
  • Describe the function of the respiratory system and its related anatomy
  • Differentiate between congenital and pediatric origin of disease
