Description

Objective:

To introduce the student to the principles of anatomy and physiology which contribute to an understanding of the normal and abnormal functions of the body's systems.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Explain the fundamental biological and physiological concepts that relate to the structure and function of the systems being studied
  • Describe the basic structure of the various cells, tissues and organs related to the systems covered
  • List the various tests and studies that are utilized to evaluate the systems covered
  • Discuss the major diseases including prognosis and treatments that are associated with the deviations from normal structure and function
