Description

Objective:

The course objective is to enable National Airspace System (NAS) personnel to be able to maintain the ARTCC Critical and Essential Power System (ACEPS).

Learning Outcomes:

  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the ARTCC Critical and Essential Power System

  • Safety, 48VDC control power systems, engine generator control panels, no load tests, auto starts, and safety shutdowns
  • Woodward panel
  • Electrical and mechanical circuit breakers and protective relays
  • Auto and manual synchronization and transfers
  • Uninterruptible Power Module (UPM) rectifier charges
  • UPM inverters
  • Bypass transfer and control system
  • Critical power centers, and emergency critical and essential system restoration
