Description

Objective:

To provide students with an appreciation and understanding of integrated circuits.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the theory and operation of digital circuits
  • Understand the theory and operation of a differential amplifier
  • Understand the theory and a variety of applications of operational amplifiers
  • Understand the theory and application of other analog integrated circuits such as timers and phase locked loops
  • Understand and apply Boolean algebra and Karnaugh mapping
  • Understand the theory of A/D and D/A conversions
  • Construct, test, and evaluate a selection of analog and digital circuits and applications in the laboratory
