Description

Objective:

The course objective is to identify the particular needs of patients, with emphasis on emergency response and assessment, effective communication techniques and stress management. Effective handling of medical emergencies is also covered and students are trained in BLS (Basic Life Support) for Health Care Providers under the parameters of the American Heart Association (AHA).

Learning Outcomes:

  • Recognize basic elements of therapeutic communication
  • Discuss stress categories and management
  • Execute all rescue procedures in order to become certified in CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) for adults, children and infants through the AHA
