Description

Objective:

The course objective is to learn to measure vital signs, height, weight, hearing and vision. Emphasis is placed on differentiating between normal and abnormal values and proper charting and communication procedures.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Correctly perform vital signs
  • Accurately assess vision, hearing, and height and weight on patients
  • Recognize what abnormal values indicate and know the specific responsibilities of a medical assistant
  • Adhere to ethical boundaries
