Description

Objective:

The objective of the PADI Deep Diver course is to familiarize divers with the knowledge, skills, techniques and procedures necessary to safely plan, organize and participate in deep dives between the depths of 60 feet/18 metres to 130 feet/40 metres.

Learning Outcomes:

  • explain and demonstrate the planning, organization, procedures and techniques of deep diving
  • explain the risk factors, problems and hazards of deep diving
  • explain the use of decompression tables, safety stops, and emergency decompression procedures
  • explain the use of special equipment and considerations for deep diving, including descent lines and buoyancy-control
  • explain the procedures for flying after diving and high-altitude diving
