Description

Objective:

This credential brings together multiple on-line training (OLT) courses and supporting resources to offer a comprehensive overview of DoD supply chain integration. It is designed to provide learners an overarching understanding of the life cycle logistician’s responsibilities for planning, developing, and implementing all aspects of Supply Chain Management, Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), counterfeit parts awareness and prevention, provisioning and cataloging, IUID, RFID, and serialized item management, and DLA Support to the Program Manager (PM). A capstone exercise and summative examination must be completed to demonstrate the learner’s ability to apply what they have learned.

  • explain what Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortage (DMSMS) is and why DMSMS management is important
  • explain the Prepare, Identify, Assess, Analyze, and Implement steps for the DMSMS management program
  • demonstrate an understanding of the concepts related to the identification and prevention of counterfeit materiel and their entry into the DoD supply chain
  • recognize system retirement, materiel disposition, reclamation, demilitarization, and disposal
  • recognize a Replaced System Sustainment Plan
  • recognize DoD additive manufacturing capabilities, solutions, and processes to plan, manage, analyze, source or implement supply chain management
  • summarize considerations of additive manufacturing on Weapon System Integrated Product Support
  • describe the areas in the current acquisition environment affecting provisioning processes
  • explain the policy, objectives, quantitative factors, and process related to the Initial Requirements Determination (IRD)
  • identify the cataloging principles and objective, content of the Cataloging and Standardization Act, cataloging steps, and cataloging in provisioning flow process
