Description

Objective:

The course objective is to equip business professionals with the skills, tools, and techniques they will need to protect themselves, and their companies, during the negotiation and procurement of new business. It also explains, in detail, how to write attention-getting proposals. This course is also intended as a guide to help students prepare for the Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM), and Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) certification examinations that are administered by the National Contract Management Association (NCMA). It represents the comprehensive body of knowledge that is needed to prepare for, and pass, these challenging tests.

  • Identify why subcontracts are used, identify contract types used for subcontracts, and discuss the technical, business, and legal issues regarding subcontracts
  • Discuss contractor liability and the contractor, property administrator, and contracting officer responsibilities regarding liability
