Google's mission is to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. Through products and platforms like Search, Maps, Gmail, Android, Google Play, Chrome and YouTube, Google plays a meaningful role in the daily lives of billions of people and has become one of the most widely-known companies in the world. Google is a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc.
Google has long been committed to ensuring the opportunities created by technology are truly available to everyone. In 2017, they launched Grow with Google, an initiative to help people grow their careers and businesses through free tools and training.
In 2018, Google launched the Google IT Support Certificate to help job seekers connect with in-demand IT support jobs, with no degree or experience required. Since then, Google has launched Career Certificates in the fields of cybersecurity, data analytics, digital marketing & e-commerce, project management, and user experience (UX) design. These hands-on certificates are taught and developed by Google employees and can be completed in three to six months part-time. After completing the program, graduates gain access to career resources and can connect with over 150 top employers who are committed to considering Google Career Certificate graduates for entry-level jobs. 75% of certificate graduates report a positive career outcome (e.g., new job, promotion, or raise) within six months of completion.
