Since 1980, Omega Institute has provided paralegal/legal assistant training for the greater Philadelphia and southern New Jersey regions. The paralegal program was evaluated and granted credit recommendations through the Program on Noncollegiate Sponsored Instruction (PONSI) in 1988. Recently, additional programs including Business, Allied Health, and Hospitality and Tourism have also been evaluated and granted credit recommendations through PONSI. These programs consist of 450 hours to 900 hours of classroom instruction. Daytime classes are held Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and evening classes are held Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.Omega Institute is accredited as a Business School by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). The Medical Assistant Program is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). Omega Institute is a member of the Career College Association (CCA).Omega Institute is approved as a private business school by the New Jersey Department of Education. It is approved for training of veterans and their eligible dependents and for training of JTPA, REACH, Workforce Development Program, Vocational Rehabilitation and Trade Act participants.
