The Center for Human Resources Joint Skill Development and Training Department is located in the United Auto Workers-General Motors (UAW-GM ) Center for Human Resources in Detroit, Michigan. The CHR provides administrative, consultative, and training-related services for the benefit of approximately 128,000 UAW-represented GM employees at 79 plant locations and approximately 40,000 UAW-represented Delphi employees at 28 plant locations throughout the country.The CHR is also responsible for the training and staff development of local union and management training representatives and joint committees throughout the United States.CHR courses are focused on preparing local training professionals to deliver training to UAW-represented employees at their plant locations. These courses are developed internally by course development specialists or are purchased from outside vendors and are revised as needed.
