Established in 1960, Rhodec International is accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC), which specializes in teaching interior design through distance learning.Our mission is to provide quality interior design training, at introductory and professional levels to students throughout the world. At the higher level, the aim of our Diploma Course is to train students to meet standards that will enable them to practice interior design as a profession. The course enjoys recognition by many leading interior design bodies worldwide.The Diploma Course is suited to adults who have always taken an interest in interior design and who now wish to receive in-depth, formal training, with the goal of changing their career or practicing interior design as an adjunct to their current employment.We teach all key skills required by today's professional: materials, soft furnishings, and sample boards; the history of interior styles; drafting techniques; general design principles; color theory and color rendering techniques; space planning, lighting applications; furniture construction and materials; building construction; and establishing and running a professional interior design consultancy.Constant revision of our substantial teaching materials, our policy of accepting enrollments throughout the year with no prior qualifications, our tutorial staff of professional interior designers and our practice of allowing students to submit work at their own pace all ensure that our Diploma Course is the most comprehensive, flexible, and up-to-date.
