Organization

Originally called the Centre International d’Etudes Pédagogiques (CIEP), France Education International (FEI) was organized in 1945 and is an institution under the supervision of the Ministry of National Education. The mission of FEI is to contribute to the promotion of the French language and the French-speaking world, while respecting the cultures, languages and lifestyles of our partners. This is an important mission given that the country of France maintains their global influence through the French language and French culture. In addition to promoting dialogue and open exchange, the promise of FEI is to strengthen the language skills of program participants. With more than 1200 exam centers and over 2000 testing center for the DELF exam in over 175 different countries, FEI administered more than 400,000 exams to teens and adults in 2023.
