ACE, Vanderbilt University, and Coursera are hosting an interactive workshop designed to help higher education leaders navigate the integration of AI into their degree programs on Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. ET.

This free virtual workshop will feature Jules White, senior advisor to the Chancellor for Generative AI in Education and Enterprise Solutions and professor of Computer Science at Vanderbilt University, and Jeff Maggioncalda, CEO of Coursera. The event aims to provide educators, administrators, and academic leaders with the tools and insights they need to evolve their programs to meet the changing needs of the workforce.

Generative AI, which can produce human-like text, images, and data, is rapidly reshaping industries, creating a demand for college graduates who are equipped to work with these new technologies. During the workshop, participants will learn how to harness AI as a “thought partner” in the classroom, transforming learning environments while maintaining ethical considerations.

Participants will be able to explain fundamental concepts of generative AI, including its underlying principles and potential applications in university operations; assess the strategic implications of its adoption in higher education, identifying opportunities for innovation as well as potential challenges; and develop a comprehensive plan for integrating generative AI into university settings.

Participants are encouraged to access an online learning portal and actively engage with the hosts during the session. Learn more about the workshop and register here.
