The American Council on Education (ACE) has supported its members for more than a century—and will continue to do so as higher education experiences rapid and far-reaching transformation. Membership matters now more than ever.
Facing the Future Together
Having recently endured several transformative years, higher education continues to face financial, enrollment, and political challenges, as well as other difficulties. With a concerted focus on future thinking, ACE helps prepare its members to meet and resolve these issues. Through webinars, learning circles, research, briefs, and convenings, ACE brings higher education leaders together to learn from each other, solve problems, and shape policy. ACE’s large membership is a deep bench of experience and knowledge. When we harness that collective wisdom and capacity, we can envision and co-create the future of higher education to positively impact learners and society.
Speak with a Strong, Collective Voice
As a member, you help to influence higher education policy. With over 1,600 member colleges, universities, and higher education associations, ACE coordinates higher education’s advocacy efforts to inform all three branches of government about the needs of colleges and universities and our students. ACE has tackled issues on multiple critical fronts, including COVID-19 relief, Title IX, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and Dreamers, doubling the Pell Grant, and more.
Innovate and Connect
ACE continues to innovate with its collaborative communities and professional development programs, such as the
