Description

Objective:

The course objective are to: 1) gain a comprehensive foundation in the use of advertising and illustration techniques using traditional illustration techniques as well as computer generated applications found within the industry and 2) learn to design and develop projects addressing situations found within the industry and 3) develop creativity through experimentation.

Learning Outcomes:

  • use the Adobe Suite for the use in communication arts and design
  • design company logos through creativity and knowledge of marketing
  • understand letter and color combinations in design and art
  • design graphics and components suitable for use on the web
  • understand the principles of advertising and its usage in design
