Description

Objective:

The course objectives are to: 1) provide instruction in the use of AutoCAD software to drawings using AutoCAD commands and 2) enable students to produce a complete and accurate set of drawings based on the ideas and sketches of engineers, architects and designers.

Learning Outcomes:

  • draw and prepare detailed mechanical and architectural plans
  • apply techniques of lettering, orthographic projection procedures, dimensioning techniques, auxiliary views, working drawings and pictorial representation
  • use computer equipment and software to apply drafting principles in both mechanical and architectural drafting
  • understand basic computer literacy and detailed software applications at a mastery level.
