A range of sessions at
ACE2023, ACE’s Annual Meeting held in April in Washington, DC, explored the initiative to reimagine the Carnegie Classifications that the Council has embarked on in partnership with the
Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
ACE is leading a broad effort to revamp the classifications as a catalyst for incentivizing and recognizing institutional behavior that advances equitable outcomes and learner-centered solutions. At ACE2023, a plenary and four concurrent sessions focused on the past, present, and future of the Carnegie Classifications.
