Conditional and Technical Reviews
Results from an ACE review may require additional information or added content before qualifying for a credit recommendation. If the results of a review are conditional, a final report will be provided indicating the type and extent of changes required. Organizations may choose to make those changes to their curriculum and should request a follow-up conditional review of those changes for consideration by the faculty experts. Conditional requirements must be met within 90 days of the original review, or experiences will no longer be eligible for a credit recommendation.
During an active recommendation period, a technical review should be requested if a provider has made substantial changes to the curriculum or assessment model. Changes to curriculum can impact the level, subject area, and/or semester hours recommended. A technical review is conducted by industry or subject-matter faculty experts who will determine if the changes to curriculum justify an update to the credit recommendations.
