Navigating the EPA’s Community Change Grants Application Process
August 19, 2024

ACE hosted a webinar on Aug. 12 to help equip campuses with the knowledge needed to navigate the application process for the Environmental Protection Agency’s Community Change Grants program. Funded by the Inflation Reduction Act, the program provides grants to disadvantaged communities for projects addressing environmental and climate justice challenges.

Colleges and universities are eligible to partner with community-based nonprofits to receive grant funding. The webinar featured insights from institutions that have successfully secured a grant, including Dillard University and Texas A&M University. These institutions shared their strategies and lessons learned during the grant application and implementation process.

Bathsheba Philpott, president and principal consultant of Fund Guru Consulting and former vice president of development at ACE, offered expert guidance on effective grant writing techniques and fundraising strategies.
