The second day of the ACE Experience 2025
(ACEx2025), the premier higher education convening Feb. 12-13 in Washington,
DC at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts,* will start bright
and early with engaging Breakfast and Learn sessions that will explore the
future of higher education and enhancing education through microcredentials.
While a range of sessions at the convening will
examine this year’s most pressing higher education topics, the session Higher
Education in 2035: Four Scenarios for the Future will explore what the
sector will look like a decade from now. Sponsored by Deloitte, president of
the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities, this session will unpack
potential situations to help leaders prepare for a range of future
possibilities, stretch their current thinking, and make their institutions more
adaptable.
As institutions are adopting innovative ways to amplify the
value of higher education, the session Boosting the Value of Higher
Education Through Microcredentials will highlight approaches institutions
are using to integrate industry microcredentials into their academic programs. Sponsored
by Coursera, this session will feature a dynamic panel discussion that will showcase
useful methods for carrying out this work and enable participants to discover inventive
approaches that are transforming student outcomes.
From free speech, global perspectives, and the state of U.S.
higher education, ACEx2025 will feature an array of discussions on today’s most
critical issues led by a diverse collection of experts. The convening will include
a wide breadth of important conversations, including concerns
of college presidents, college
athletics, the Carnegie
Classifications, and much more.
ACE will also rally member presidents and chancellors from
across the country for its inaugural Capitol
Hill advocacy day on Feb. 11 to engage directly with policymakers and advocate
for the future of higher education.
